Manchester United unveil 23-man squad for Atletico Madrid pre-season clash
Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has named a 23-man squad for Saturday’s pre-season friendly against Atletico Madrid in the Snapdragon Cup, with Mason Mount and new signing Andrey Santos included for the encounter.
The match, scheduled to take place in Stockholm, will see United face Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid as preparations for the new season continue.
Carrick’s squad features a blend of experienced first-team players and promising youngsters across all departments.
The goalkeeping unit comprises Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton, Dermot Mee and Radek Vitek.

In defence, Harry Amass, Dan Armer, Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu, Ayden Heaven, Jaydan Kamason, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Leny Yoro have all been selected.
The midfield options include Jack Fletcher, Tyler Fletcher, Mason Mount, summer arrival Andrey Santos and Jim Thwaites.
Leading the attack are Amad, JJ Gabriel, Shea Lacey, Bryan Mbeumo, Ethan Williams and Joshua Zirkzee.
The Snapdragon Cup fixture is scheduled to kick off at 2:00 p.m. BST as Manchester United continue their build-up to the 2026/27 campaign against the Spanish giants.
