Moses Sule, first time legislator, elected Speaker of Plateau Assembly
A former Vice Chairman of Mikang Local Government Area, Moses Sule, and a first time lawmaker, has been elected the Speaker of Plateau State 10th House of Assembly.
The Speaker was elected after the inauguration of the 10th House of Assembly on Tuesday in the state.
The lawmakers also elected Fom Gwottson, member, representing Jos South constituency, deputy speaker at the inauguration of the state legislature.
The two presiding officers were administered the oath of allegiance and oath of office, and thereafter, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Moses Sule, swore in elected legislators as members of Plateau State 10th House of Assembly, comprising of 24 members.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) dominates the 24 members in the House with 16 seats, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has 7 seats and the Young Progressives Party (YPP) has 1.
