Na’ Allah: Senator makes clarifications on late son
Senator Bala Ibn Na’ Allah has spoken on the killing of his pilot son Abdulkarim, and there is a lot of speculations he dismissed.
For starters, it was reported bandits came in, bound, and strangulated him, before they drove in his car Sunday afternoon.
But the Kebbi senator, confirming the death, said the killers are yet to be identified.
“From the reports received so far, his attackers were not armed with guns. They simply gained access to his house through the roof and strangulated him to death,” he said in a statement he issued on behalf of the family.
While describing the late Abdulrahim as a wonderful person, he admitted “his life was not better than any other Nigerian”.
“As a family, we leave everything in the hands of Almighty Allah to whom we have since surrendered in pursuit of the strength to bear the loss of Abdulkareem in our family.
Kaduna government, the National Daily reported, was the first to announce the death was culpable homicide—a killing different from murder.
No fewer than three persons, including Abdulrahim, were killed August 29 in Kaduna.
