Neymar,Mbappe don’t want to play with Cavani
- as stats show passing rates
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN’S fearsome front-three has fired them to a record nine wins to start the Ligue 1 season.
After 82 years, the record was finally broken in the 5-0 Kylian Mbappe-inspired demolition of Lyon.
Kylian Mbappe and Neymar are freezing Edinson Cavani out
Along with Mbappe, Neymar and Edinson Cavani have forged one of the most lethal trios in world football.
However, reports in France suggest all is not well, with Mbappe and Neymar not happy playing alongside the Uruguayan star.
And L’Equipe has got the passing statistics that appear to prove it.
According to the numbers, Neymar passes to Cavani one in every 200 balls played – at 0.5 per cent.

Edinson Cavani has been something of a third wheel to Neymar and Mbappe
Mbappe passes to the Uruguay star just five per cent of the time – despite the fact him and Neymar flank Cavani.
Rather than playing simple balls inside to the “middle-man”, it would appear they are more content linking up with each other, despite playing on opposite flanks.
Neymar gives a quarter of all his passes to Mbappe, while the France Ballon d’Or nominee gives a whopping 31 per cent of his balls to the Brazil ace.
Whether by design or by accident, it certainly makes Cavani a lonely figure in the PSG front three.
Despite a lack of help from his fellow forwards, Cavani has scored five times in Ligue 1 this season – in just six games.
Meanwhile, Neymar has eight goals in eight to Mbappe’s astonishing eight strikes in just five outings – thanks to his quickfire four against Lyon.
