Niger 2023: Politicians kick against zoning
As the 2023 drawn closer, political activities in Niger State are becoming interesting as politicians agreed to disagree with the zoning arrangement in the state.
A notable political analyst in the state noted that truly, zoning with political mathematics to select a candidate from a district will not work in 2023.
He said the residents of Niger State are saying that all they need in 2023 is credible candidate who will move the power state forward.
Also, another stakeholder said that the only political remedy to solve the horrible and worrisome political scenario in Niger State is to search for a popular, credible, and God-fearing leader who will rescue the Niger State people out of the leadership problem.
In Suleja, Niger East, Zone B, where the zoning system started in 1978, political leaders from that axis are agitating that the power they should now be considered for the chance to produce the next number one citizen of the state in 2023. One of the political leaders argued that zoning is not constitutional issue but a gentleman arrangement.
