NSCDC arrest lady in possession of bomb in Cross River
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, (NSCDC), on Tuesday disclosed the arrest of a lady, Aniebiet John, in possession of bomb in Cross River State. The Cross River State NSCDC Command parading the lady, revealed that she was arrested with three explosive devices and several other dangerous weapons, about 25 kilometres to Calabar.
Commandant of the Cross River State NSCDC, Samuel Fadeyi, during the parading of the suspected terrorist at the Command’s Headquarters in Calabar, narrated that the suspected terrorist was arrested with dangerous weapons on her way to Obubra Local Government Area.
The State Commandant stated that investigations have commenced to unravel the intention of the suspect, promising that the Command will always provide adequate security, in collaboration with other security agencies in Cross River State.
The lady, Aniebiet John, was said to have claimed ignorance of the explosives in her possession at the point of arrest; she pleaded for mercy.
