OAU student: How hotel owner’s son Raheem became mastermind, now on the run
The son of industrialist and Hilton Hotel owner Ramon Adedoyin detained in connection to the death of a lodger and OAU student Timothy Adegoke is now on the run, according to police.
Roheem Adedoyin is the managing director of the hotel at Ipetu Modu, one of the many businesses his father Adedoyin controls.
One of the seven suspects the Osun state police command detained confessed the younger Adedoyin masterminded the illegal burial of the remains of Adegoke in November 7.
Osun State Commissioner of Police, Wale Olokode, disclosed this when he featured on a radio programme, ‘Frank Talk’, on Rave FM, Osogbo, the state capital.
“One of the suspects confessed that the MD is the son of Dr Ramon Adedoyin, his name is Roheem Adedoyin who is now at large. He also confessed that he (Roheem) organised the corpse to be thrown into a bush. The MD along with two managers took the corpse to the bush,” Olokode said.
“None of the staff members informed the police. It was the report of the missing person that made the anti-kidnapping team who then discovered through their meticulous investigation and traced the so-called missing person to that hotel and then traced the corpse, where it was found.”
Olokode assured stakeholders the autopsy’s report will guide the police in their investigation.
The family of the late Adegoke have also petitioned police authorities to investigate the audio Adedoyin made from detention to clear his name.
But Olokode said he was not aware of the suspect making such audio.
