Oliseh still out of RSA trip
The Super Eagles will fly out to South Africa on Saturday, January 2, for the final build up of preparations for the 2016 Africa Nations Championship.
The team returns to training on Sunday, 27th December after a three day break which allowed the players to go celebrate the Christmas holidays with their families.
In the absence of Chief Coach Sunday Oliseh, the team has been in Abuja preparing for the championship before the break.
Assistant coaches Salisu Yusuf, Jean Francois Losciuto and Tijani Babangida have held forth for the former Borussia Dortmund ace as he continues to recuperate from an illness.
The team will depart for South Africa where they are expected to be based in Pretoria for the final phase of camping as two friendly matches have been planned for the team.
Nigeria is expected to take on the Ivory Coast and Angola in tune up matches before the start of the CHAN in Rwanda.
The Eagles will contend with Tunisia, Guinea and Niger in Group C of the championship when hostilities kick-off on January 16.
Christian Obiozor scored the only goal in the third place classification match against Zimbabwe at the last edition in South Africa in which put Nigeria on the podium.
