PDP set to inaugurate 2025 National Convention Organizing Committee
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced that it will formally inaugurate its 2025 National Convention Organizing Committee (NCOC) on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the party’s National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.
According to a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the inauguration follows the approval of the National Executive Committee (NEC) and the directive of the National Working Committee (NWC).
The ceremony is scheduled to take place at the NEC Hall of the Secretariat by 12 noon.
The 110-member committee, tasked with overseeing the preparations for the party’s highly anticipated elective national convention, will be chaired by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State.

He will be assisted by Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke who serves as Vice Chairman, while Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah will function as Secretary.
The PDP NWC has urged all party leaders, critical stakeholders, and members nationwide to close ranks and work harmoniously to ensure the success of the convention, which will hold in Ibadan, Oyo State, from Saturday, November 15 to Sunday, November 16, 2025.
The statement emphasized that the convention will serve as a crucial step in strengthening internal democracy within the party and positioning it as a credible alternative ahead of future electoral contests.
