Police arrest bandits informants
The police have disclosed the arrest of two notorious bandits’ informants in Katsina State.
The Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Katsina State Police Command, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, parading the arrested terrorists informants at the Command Headquarters, said that they were tracked by the Force before their arrest.
The PPRO identified the two arrested informants as Mohammed Bello, alias Dan Ali of Sabon Gari, Ikara Local Government Area, Kaduna State, and Abubakar Mohammed of Kumbotso Local Government Area, Kano State.
The PPRO revealed that they were arrested on July 12 around noon based on credible intelligence.
ASP Sadiq disclosed that the informants criminally conspired, deceived, and lured their friend, one Salmanu, to a location between Funtua and Zamfara State, where they allegedly planned with one Gora, a notorious bandits leader hibernating in Zamfara forest, and kidnapped the victim.
The PPRO said that in the course of the investigation, the duo were traced and arrested in connection with the crime, and they confessed to the crime.
