Senate confirms two ministerial nominees
The Nigerian Senate has confirmed the appointment of two ministerial nominees submitted by President Muhammadu Buhari for screening and confirmation.
The new ministers are Steven Ocheni from Kogi State and Suleiman Zarma from Gombe State. The new ministers are to replace late Ocholi from Kogi State who died in a road accident along Abuja/Kaduna Road, and Amina Mohammed who took a job as the deputy secretary-general at the United Nations.
The list, which was sent to the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly was read by the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, containing the names of Stephen Ocheni (Kogi) and Suleiman Hassam (Gombe).
