South South Swan welcome Super Eagles to Uyo
By Esther Egbe
The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, South South Zone heartily welcomes our brightest brand of national cohesion, the Super Eagles of Nigeria to Uyo, Akwa Ibom State as they prepare for the crucial 2019 AFCON Qualifier against the Libyan National Football team, The Mediterranean Knights this weekend.
Indeed, this weekend’s encounter is yet another test for our Super Eagles and we believe that with our collective support and patriotic commitment, Nigeria will fly pass this duel in our quest for qualification for the Championship next year in Cameroun.
National Daily learnt that Akwa Ibom State and the South South region has consistently been a sustained home base for the Super Eagles in the last few years especially the glaring feats of the qualifiers for the last World Cup where Nigeria qualified for the mundial with a match to spare.
We are once again happy to welcome all sports stakeholders especially our distinguished colleagues in the profession from across the country to Uyo as we savour the warmth and hospitality which has positioned the State and region as a destination for sports development.
We wish our dear Super Eagles the very best of an outright victory in this fixture as we return to the summit of football at the continent during next year’s AFCON.
