Tears flowed as Nollywood actor Saint Obi was laid to rest in his hometown of Alaenyi Ogwa, Imo State on Friday.
The actor, who died on May 7, 2023, at the age of 57, was buried after a funeral service at his family home.
The service was attended by family members, friends, and colleagues from the Nollywood industry.
Many people who spoke at the service remembered Obi as a talented actor who was dedicated to his craft. They also spoke of his kindness and generosity.

One of Obi’s colleagues, actor Kanayo O. Kanayo, said that Obi was a “true legend” who would be missed by the Nollywood community.
“He was a great actor and a wonderful person,” Kanayo said. “He will be deeply missed.”
Obi’s death was a shock to many people in the Nollywood industry. He was a well-respected actor who had starred in many popular films, including “Living in Bondage” and “Nneka the Pretty Serpent.”
His death is a loss to the Nollywood community and to the Nigerian entertainment industry as a whole.
