Tension in Presidency as APC splits
- Buhari holds emergency meeting with three governors
The Presidency has been gripped with tension since the news of the splitting of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) broke out on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 in Abuja.
National Daily gathered from reliable source that the emergence of the Reformed All Progressives Congress (R APC) gave President Muhammadu Buhari sleepless night since the Press Conference of the RAPC at Sheraton Hotel, Abuja. This was indicated top have compelled President Buhari summon an urgent meeting with three APC governors in Abuja on Thursday, the meeting was gathered to be in progress at the time of this report.
Our source revealed that the APC governors involved in the emergency meeting include – Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State, Governor Abubakar Bagudu of Kebbi State and Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State. The meeting was indicated to be holding at the Office the Presidential in Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.
Our source further disclosed that the President is yet to seek the attention of party leaders like Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Chief Bisi Akande, Chief Ogbonnaya Onu, former Senate President Ken Nnamani, and the new APC leaders, among others.
The Reformed APC has already appointed the leaders of the faction at national and state levels.
Buba Galadima, former National Secretary of the legacy party – Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in APC, was appointed national Chairman.
Meanwhile, APC new National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, has appealed to the R APC to embrace dialogue in order to re-unite the ruling party.
