UKRAINE: Russia bombs arsenal keeping weapons US, UK, others supplied Ukraine
The Russian military said Wednesday it struck a military arsenal in northwestern Ukraine with sea-launched missiles.
“On the evening of March 22, sea-based high-precision long-range weapons targeted an arsenal in the village of Orzhiv, 14 kilometers (about 8.6 miles) northwest of the city of Rivne,” said Russian Ministry of Defense spokesperson Igor Konashenkov.
“As a result of the strike, a large arsenal of weapons and military equipment of Ukrainian troops, including those received from Western countries, was destroyed.”
The Wednesday announcement followed the claim on Monday in which the Russian military said it fired air-launched cruise missiles at a Ukrainian military training center in Nova Lyubomyrka, northwestern Rivne oblast.
Vitalii Koval, head of the Rivne regional administration, confirmed the attack.
