What I discussed with Kalu—Tinubu
Lagos former governor and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, on Saturday visited the Chief Whip of the Senate, Orji Kalu, in his Abuja residence.
Tinubu, believed to be nursing a presidential ambition in 2023 arrived Mr Kalu’s residence at 4:25 p.m. and left at about 6:45 p.m.
He said that his meeting with the former governor of Abia “centred on the development of the country”.
“We discussed the way forward for the country and this country is important and greater than any one’s personal ambition.
“We have been together and concerned about the stability, progress, development and security of the country.
“The future of our youth is more critically important than selfish and personal intentions,’’ he said.
Kanu initially was believed to be readying himself for the post of vice president before the EFCC got him convicted and jailed for corruption.
But since the judgement has been upturned, the former Abia governor has showed no interest in the centre come 2023.
Kalu is also not working for a southeastern presidency either.
