Young, old rivals in bloody clash inside lover’s room; one cancels other

Kafayat Sakariyawu is a double-dipper locked in an eternal triangle with two men, unknown rivals to each other.

But fate brought Bisi Omoniyi and Akinyemi Wahab Alani together on Friday.And their paths will never cross agai.

Alani checked into Kafayat’s one room early at Ajilete, Yewa South LGA, Ogun that evening. He intended to make it a blast on a weekend.

After all, at 50, cozying up with a young woman has a different feel. Kafayat , though, isn’t such a woman to stick with some gangling old lover. She had another playboy, half as young and twice as horsy as the man in whose arm she was that night

So that same day, love lifted Bisi Omoniyi at Ibasa, and he decided to camp in with Kafayat that night.

To spice things up, he made it a surprise visit.

The lovebirds were already billing and cooing behind the closed door when he came knocking.

Kafayat refused to open the door. Which was strange.

Omoniyi could have sensed it—what was going on behind the closed door. He grew green, right away, with jealous rage.

In circumstances like this, nothing stands between a jealous stud and his rival.

Omoniyi gave the door a running kick, it gave way, and light flooded the room. The scene that assaulted his eyes got him madder.

Ogun police spokesman said Omoniyi claimed he met Alani and Kafayat in an unacceptable position.

His senses became sharper and blurred at the same time. He caught a glimpse of a cutlass at the corner, grabbed it, and brought it down on Alani.

Blood splattered all over the room, and he kept the blow coming until Ajani lay motionless.

“The suspect matcheted (sic) the victim to death,” Oyeyemi told newsmen on Sunday.

Neighbours heard Kafayat’s scream amid the commotion. They came and held than the man who just killed for love.

DPO of Owode Egbado, CSP Olabisi Elebute got a distress call from Ajilete, and she mobilized her team to the scene.
