Weststar Associates, major distributor of the Mercedes-Benz brand in Nigeria is set to take comfort to a much higher pedestal with the unveiling of the newest E-class, GLC 300, VL 250 and the top premium GLE 400 4matic coupe.

Unveiling the exotic cars to motoring editors on Wednesday in Lagos, Managing Director of Weststar Associates, Mirko Plath said with technologies no car has ever offered, Mercedes-Benz writes a new chapter in the story of driving with these highly fuel efficient premium cars.

Athletically elegant outside, it’s the E-class cabin where your senses come alive. Vivid screens and flowing shapes entice the eyes. All of which allows the E-Class to deliver the perfect take on the Mercedes-Benz design philosophy: Sensual Purity.

Put the C-class sedan on stilts and you get the GLC-class, a competent luxury crossover that also features the excellent interior of its sedan sibling. Roomier and more luxurious with lots of standard tech and safety, including collision-prevention and crosswind assist, adaptive suspension, and keyless start.

The GLC300 has a 241-hp 2.0-liter four that pairs with a paddle-shifted nine-speed automatic and rear drive; all-wheel drive is optional. The seats are comfortable, the interior quiet, just like a real Mercedes.

The third in the series, V250 brings all the luxury bits and bobs brings together all the luxury associated with the Mercedes-Benz from the passenger car range and packing them into a van.

All V250 models come with seven seats as standard, with two buckets up front, a pair of middle-row captain’s chairs, and a third-row bench seat. Buyers can specify it as a six-seater (2+2+2) or eight-seater (2+3+3) if required.

Because people-movers deal first and foremost in flexibility, the cockpit of the V-Class is predictably practical. But there are a few tricks that you need to know to get the most out of the seating.

The second row can be turned 180 degrees to make for a ‘meeting room’ style seating space, though you’d want to be close with your clients if that’s what you’re using the space for, because you’ll be, ever, close to your clients.

Top of the range, GLE400 4MATIC gets Mercedes’ 329-hp 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6. The new engine helps the GLE drive, feel, and look more like a real, honest-to-Stuttgart Mercedes than any M-class ever did

Formerly known as the M-Class, the GLE has been redesigned with impressive new elements. Some of its highlights include a considerably more appealing front fascia that comes with new headlights, bumpers and grilles while the rear features redesigned LED stripes for an improved look.
