2023: Ameachi resigned as Transportation Minister
The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has resigned his Position as Minister of Transportation. It was gathered that Amaechi tendered his resignation letter, due to President Muhammadu Buhari’s order, that anyone seeking for the elective office, both in the State and at National Level, should resign their Appointments.
It should be recalled that Ameachi, is among the Top Presidential Contenders of the All Progressives Congress APC. Amaechi bought his 100million interest, to show that he is contesting Presidential race, under the Platform of the Party.
Though, Ameachi is not the only Minister that is affected by President Muhammadu Buhari’s order. Other Ministers under President Muhammadu Buhari, that may also tender their resignation letter because of their interest to contest Presidential race, are Dr Chris Ngige, who is the Minister of Labour, Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajuiba Minister of Science And Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu and so on.
However, With President Muhammadu Buhari’s order, Any serving Ministers under President who is contesting Presidential race, should resign on or before the 16th of May.
