VP Osinbajo meets Ex-Governor Nyako at his Asokoro residence
Nigeria’s Vice President Pastor Yemi Osinbajo has paid a courtesy visit to former governor of Adamawa State Murtala Nyako at his private residence in Asokoro. The duo met to discuss critical political issues related to the presidential aspiration of the Vice President.
Among the political dignitaries present include former Adamawa commissioners, aides, and few relatives of the ex Governor.
Former Governor Murtala Nyako has played important roles in the formation of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC). He was one of the few northern governors to endorsed and decamped to the party in the year 2014. He currently enjoys massive attention and recognition especially in the northeastern part of the country.
The Primary Election of the ruling APC is expected to hold in few weeks. This is why many Nigerian Ministers with political ambitions have resigned from their positions as directed by President Muhammadu Buhari during the last National Executive Council meeting.
