COVID-19: Gombe bans interstate travel, religious, social gatherings
Gombe State government has banned interstate travel as well as religious and other forms of social gatherings in the state towards containing the spread of coronavirus.
The Gombe governor announced that from Sunday, a ban on interstate travel will come into effect.
The state government also imposed a ban on all forms of social and religious gatherings.
Meanwhile, four persons in the state have been placed on mandatory self-isolation following contact with a confirmed coronavirus case.
It was disclosed that samples of the individuals have been taken for tests. It was also indicated that hospitals in the state have initiated emergency measures to prepare against coronavirus outbreak in the northeast.
