NIMASA DG seeks MARAN collaboration
THE Director-General and the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr Dakuku Peterside, has expressed his desire to partner the Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) and other relevant stakeholders in his commitment towards building a robust, efficient, responsive and qualitative maritime administration in the country.
In his letter dated April 6th, 2016 addressed to the Acting President of MARAN, Mr. Funso Olojo, the NIMASA boss promised to engage the support of well-meaning Nigerians and other stakeholders such as MARAN in his onerous task of re-positioning the agency.
Peterside, who acknowledged the solidarity message sent to him by the association on his resumption of office solicited for the support of MARAN in ensuring the success of his tenure.

”I assure you that I will partner with well-meaning Nigerians and stakeholders like you (MARAN) in the discharge of my duties and responsibilities as Director-General/CEO and in the realization of the mandate of the Agency.”
The association, in its congratulatory letter to the NIMASA DG dated March 24th, 2016 and signed by Mr Funso Olojo, has assured the new helmsman at NIMASA of its support in his task of achieving the core mandate of the agency.
The association, in a congratulatory letter earlier had acknowledged the brilliance and political sagacity of the new NIMASA DG, expressing confidence that he would leverage his wealth of experience to better the lot of the nation’s maritime industry.
