Gunmen abduct 21, police authorities keep mum

No fewer than 21 people travelling along Kaduna-Kachia road were on Friday evening abducted by unknown gunmen in uniform.

A councillor from Southern Kaduna and few others who escaped gave the account.

According to them, the armed men came, dressed in military uniform, came in a large number, and abducted 21 persons along Kaduna- Kachia road at Idon village of Kajuru Local Government area of Kaduna State.”

The councillor has appealed to government to ensure that security agencies maintained law and order in the area.

As of now, there has been no official report from the police, and no information is available yet on whether the kidnappers have contacted the families of their hostages.
