Gov El-Rufai panics as Kaduna Assembly removes Majority Leader
Governor Nasir El-Rufai may have been thrown into panic over the confusion in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, which culminated into the removal of the House Majority Leader, Haruna Inuwa on Wednesday.
Inuwa, representing Doka/Gabasawa Constituency, was removed after a vote of no confidence was passed on him, in addition to an impeachment letter signed by 17 members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) members in the State Assembly on Wednesday.
Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Tanimu Musa, representing Kachia Constituency, had disclosed that the state legislators unanimously approved the impeachment of the lawmaker known as “Mabo” after a review of the ways he hands legislative procedures.
Tanimu Musa was said to have explained that the ways the removed Majority Leader has been handling legislative procedures was not satisfactory to members of the state Assembly.
The House Information Committee Chairman disclosed that a new Majority Leader would soon be appointed by the House.
