Kanu now a year older, in detention

kanuIPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu adds another year to his age Sept 25, and his followers have been sending him hearts and flowers.

Kanu was born on September 25, 1967, in Isiama Afara, Abia State.

Not much was known about him until he took over Radio Biafra and stated his secessionist campaign.

He got popular in 2015 when he founded IPOB, and began a full-on struggle—violent struggle—for a Biafra state.

His arrest, detention, trial, d bush parole in 2017 remain dramatic in his bio—and eve his re-arrest and consignment to Nigeria from Kenya in June.

Kanu is facing treasonable felony trial at a high court in Abuja.

His next adjournment is October 21.

Supporters have been celebrating his 54^th birth day—in DSS detention—on social media.
