INEC finalizes preparations for Anambra governorship election
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday indicated its readiness for the November 6 governorship election in Anambra State. The commission at a meeting with stakeholders on the preparations for the Anambra State Governorship election, scheduled for November 6th, 2021, disclosed details of its timetable of activities so far for the election.
INEC, following the election Timetable and Schedule of Activities, as released on January 19, 2021, unveiled the Final Register of Voters for the governorship election, and delivered same to the 18 Registered Political Parties participating in the election.
The Commission at its office in Awka, Anambra State, further issued the Final List of Candidates for the election. The list was pasted in the State Headquarters of INEC in Awka. The list of candidates was also uploaded into INEC’s website and social media channels.
INEC has scheduled an emergency consultation meeting with the leadership of all registered political parties in at the Commission’s Headquarters in Abuja for Friday.
