Brazil is set to host the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup across eight stadiums, with all the selected venues having previously hosted matches during the 2014 FIFA Men’s World Cup.

The tournament, scheduled for June 24 to July 25, 2027, will be the first FIFA Women’s World Cup to be staged in South America.

FIFA confirmed the eight host cities and stadiums after assessing Brazil’s proposed venues and infrastructure. The tournament will feature 32 teams playing 64 matches across the country.

The eight stadiums are:

1. Estádio Mineirão – Belo Horizonte
2. Estádio Nacional – Brasília
3. Arena Castelão – Fortaleza
4. Estádio Beira-Rio – Porto Alegre
5. Arena de Pernambuco – Recife
6. Estádio do Maracanã – Rio de Janeiro
7. Arena Fonte Nova – Salvador
8. Arena Itaquera – São Paulo

The Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro will have a central role in the tournament, hosting the opening match and the final.

Brazil will begin its campaign at the Maracanã on June 24, 2027, before continuing its group-stage fixtures in São Paulo and Brasília, according to FIFA’s published match schedule.

Other cities considered during the selection process included Belém, Cuiabá, Manaus and Natal, but they were not included in the final eight-city hosting plan.

The selection means the 2027 Women’s World Cup will return to several venues that featured prominently during the 2014 men’s tournament, including the Maracanã, Mineirão, Estádio Nacional, Arena Castelão, Beira-Rio, Arena de Pernambuco, Arena Fonte Nova and Arena Itaquera.

The competition will bring together 32 national teams for the expanded women’s tournament, with matches spread across Brazil’s major football cities before the champions are crowned in Rio de Janeiro on July 25, 2027.
