Adamu Mohammad and Bukar Audu ended up in hospital bed, bleeding and unconscious, each with a stump of a hand, but the Yobe police still arrested them on Monday.

According to a statement by spokesman of the state police command, ASP Dungus Abdulkarim, on Monday in Damaturu, the two might be members of rival cults.

“As a result, both suspects’ wrists of the left hands were chopped off.
“The reason of the fight is yet to be known because both suspects are unconscious and admitted at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Nguru for medical treatment,” he said.
The spokesman said investigation was ongoing in the incident, adding that the Command had adopted proactive measures to rid the area off miscreants.
