Meet the only African national team that is yet to concede a goal in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers
Only one African national team is yet to concede a goal in the ongoing FIFA World Cup qualifiers, and the team has been superb from all the 6 matches they’ve played, and their excellent performance has taken them to the playoff of the qualifications.
Some of the African national teams have already booked their spots in the next round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers which will take place in Qatar, while some teams are still hoping to joining the rest very soon.
Countries like Senegal, Egypt, Mali, Morocco, Algeria and Dr Congo national teams have already booked their spot in the playoffs, and only one team amongst the aforementioned teams is yet to concede a goal.
The only national team that has not conceded a goal in the ongoing FIFA World Cup qualifiers is Mali national team.
Mohamed Magassouba’s men have been exceptional since the beginning of the ongoing qualifications, and they’ve been able to win five out of the six matches they’ve played.
Mali started their qualifiers with a remarkable 1-0 victory over Rwanda national team on the 1st of September, before playing a goalless draw against Uganda national team few days later.
They continued their impressive run with a 5-0 win over Kenya national team in October, and they also defeated the same opponent 1-0 in the second left few days later. Mali also defeated Rwanda national team 3-0 away from home five days ago, before beating Uganda national team 1-0 on Sunday to secure their spot in the playoff.
Mali national team are the only team with the best defensive record in the ongoing FIFA World Cup qualifiers (in Africa), and they are also one of the most scoring countries in the qualifications, while Tunisia and Morocco national teams have only conceded 1 goal each.
