Entrepreneur: Hon. Agunsoye empowers 500 Kosofe youths,traders, give start up grants

The lawmaker representing Kosofe Federal Constituency Hon. Prince Rotimi Agunsoye in making good his resolve to force down the rising poverty index, has empowered 500 youths and women amongst his constituents with entrepreneurial skills and 100,000 naira start-up grants each.
Hon. Agunsoye notes that it is a continuation of his empowerment schemes through which many constituents have been economically emancipated, he added that just last month he presented certificate of training and empowerment to the youth and women in kosofe constituency.
The trainees having acquired knowledge  in selected entrepreneurial skills like, aquaculture, fashion design, shoe making, poultry farming, not leaving out market women and youths as well as those who are searching for job all got start-up fund.
Many of the beneficiaries in a chat with newsmen notes that the lawmaker kind gesture towards constituents speaks volume of a man who keep up to promises made.
“He is a promise keeper as he attends to the welfare of we his constituents”
The lawmaker in a chat with newsmen notes that the 100,000 given to the beneficiaries is for them to invest in the business for which they have been duly trained and not to squander on frivolities.
“The simple logic in business orientation is spend what is left after savings”.
Hon. Agunsoye added that “Just last year 2020, 750 people were empowered through trainings on how to make local delicacies and a cash grant of 50,000 naira each was given to them to start business.
“This empowerment however was divided into two sets: first 250 people and 500, for easy assessment and administration.
“The money given is basically for those empowered to add up their various businesses or even start up a business to develop themselves and create work opportunities for others by employing others.”
However, the Human Rights Commission representative from Abuja notes that they have no regrets collaborating with the legislator.
