3 Coaches who could lose their jobs this season
Club football resumed immediately after the end of the European Championship in the summer. Football fans have been watching top leagues across Europe. It is also important to point out that we are done with the group stage of the UEFA Champions League. Many European clubs have performed very well this season. However, there are some teams that have not done well. This is why we will take a quick look at three managers who could lose their job this season.
1. Xavi
Barcelona officials appointed Xavi after Ronald Koeman was sacked by the club. Many Barcelona fans thought that Xavi would immediately restore the glory days. However, Barcelona players have been eliminated from the UEFA Champions League under the management of Xavi. Barcelona will now participate in the UEFA Europa League. It should be said that Barcelona currently occupy seventh position on the Spanish league table. Many football pundits believe that Xavi should be given more time to rebuild the Barcelona team. However, he could be dismissed after failing to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season.
2. Brendan Rodgers
He currently serves as the head coach of Leicester City in the English Premier League. He has not performed well since the beginning of the current campaign. For instance, Leicester City players were eliminated from the Europa League on Thursday. This means that they will now compete in the UEFA Conference League this season. It should also be said that Leicester City currently occupy eleventh position on the English Premier League table. Rodgers could lose his job if he does not improve over the next few months.
3. Sean Dyche
Dyche is the manager of Burnley Football Club. However, his players have not performed well in the English Premier League this season. Burnley currently occupy eighteenth position on the English Premier League table. This means that they are in the relegation zone. Sean Dyche could lose his job if he fails to take Burnley out of the relegation zone this season.
