Ijaw youth invoke Oromoni’s ghost in front of Dowen College
Following the police dismissal of murder at this point in the ongoing investigation of the death of Dowen College student Sylvester Oromoni, some protesting Ijaw youths have offered prayers of vengeance in front of the college at Lekki, Lagos.
The protesters invoked Sylvester’s spirit to arise and ensure he gets justice.
Besides the police releasing the suspects—students and staff—the state government has also said no murder was confirmed after the autopsies the state and the Oromonis carried out in Delta and Lagos.
Lagos CP Hakeem Odumosu however said investigation is ongoing, especially the result of toxicology the coroner recommended—to confirm the nature of the substance found in Oromoni’s stomach.
The late student was believed to have been murdered by bullies, going by his own statement before he died.
