Two cultists allegedly gang-raped a 22-year-old lady at Eleweran, in Abeokuta, on Wednesday.
The state police command said a 38-year-old man, Seun Orokunle, allegedly invited his friend, Sarumi Sodiq, to rape his lover.
According to the victim, on getting to her lover’s house, she went to the bathroom to take her bath and unknown to her, Orokunle had invited his friend who came straight to meet her in the bathroom, dragged her out and the two of them took turn to have sex with her after beating her thoroughly.
“After satisfying themselves, Seun Orokunle took her clothes and dipped them in a bucket of water in order to prevent her from leaving the house immediately,” Police PRO Abimbola Oyeyemi said.
“She stated further that the duo, who claimed to be cultists, threatened to kill her if she dares report them to anyone.”
Oyeyemi said the suspects were arrested following a complaint by the victim at Public Complaint Bureau, Eleweran, Abeokuta.
