Okorocha to spend next 24 hours in EFCC custody
One of the presidential aspirants on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Rochas Okorocha, representing Imo West senatorial district in the National Assembly, will be spending the next 24 hours in the custody ofthe Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The Federal High Court, Abuja, where he was being prosecuted by the EFCC on Monday ordered the remand of Okorocha, former Governor of Imo State, in EFCC till Tuesday.
The presiding Judge, Justice Inyang Ekwo, after issuing the remand order, adjourned the case to Tuesday for a hearing of the bail application filed by Okorocha.
The senator is prosecuted by the EFCC on a 17-count charge on allegation of 2.9 billion impropriety.
