Amotekun arrests over 160 suspected invaders hiding in 2 trailers in Ondo

The Ondo State Security Network Agency, the Amotekun, has revealed the arrest of over 160 persons suspected to be attackers [bandits] on transit from the north. The Amotekun Corps said that the arrested suspected attackers were caught hiding under cows in two trailers from the north.

Commander of the Amotekun Corps in Ondo State, Adetunji Adeleye, at the Head Office of Amotekun, affirmed that the travelers were found hiding in the two trucks in a suspicious way.

Adeleye revealed, “On careful observation, we found out that they concealed about 40 motorcycles with over 100 persons lying beneath them.” The Commander added that the arrested suspects, when interrogated, were unable to give satisfactory explanations for traveling to Ondo State.

The Commander urged residents of Ondo State to be on alert at all times, also, inform the Amotekun of any strange persons in their environment.

Chairman of the Hausa Community in Ondo State, Bala Umar, was cited to have said: “There is no leader in Ondo State that knows about their coming and there is no well-meaning Nigerian that should not be bothered about the influx to this place.

“If you look at them, they are very young boys who can cause havoc and run back. It is very embarrassing.”
