CHE vs TOT: 2 reasons why Conte will beat Tuchel at Stamford Bridge
The 2022/23 Premier League season is finally here after months of patiently waiting for the new season to kickoff. Premier League clubs have all played their first game with some of the big teams dropping points in their first game of the season. Despite playing a tough Everton side, the Chelsea football club was able to tighten their defense as they narrowly grabbed three points out of the Goodison Park Stadium.
Tottenham Hotspur started the season in a high spirit, with Conte thrashing Southampton 4-1 in their opening game. Chelsea will host Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. The game won’t be an easy one, with the two clubs adding more quality and depth to their squad in the ongoing transfer window.
Despite Chelsea’s transfer success, here are a few reasons why Tottenham Hotspur could beat Chelsea. Firstly, Antonio Conte was able to lay his hands on attacking reinforcement while Chelsea is still busy strengthening their defense.
The likes of Ivan Perisic and former Everton forward Richarlison touched down to bolster Conte’s squad upfront. The Italian manager formerly had Harry Kane, Son Heung Min, and Lucas Moura in his book and despite the trio’s presence, he went ahead to add more.
Secondly, Tottenham Hotspur is looking more composed than Chelsea judging from the first game. Chelsea narrowly escaped drawing with a penalty kick against Everton, while Tottenham enjoyed a comfortable win against Southampton. Their composure upfront and in the middle of the park could help them dominate the game.
