Aisha reacts after man murdered parents
Political and social activist, Aisha Yesufu has aired her thoughts following the recent report of the arrest of a 37 year old man who killed his parents in Gagarawa Local Government Area of Jigawa State. Recall that the man, identified as Munkaila Ahmadu had reportedly used a pestle to kill his parents for uttering blasphemous words against the Prophet Muhammad.
In fact, Mr Ahmadu who spoke in a video from his prison cell showed no remorse for the killing as he said that he was right in the sight of God because the punishment for blasphemy is death.
Meanwhile, Aisha Yesufu in a tweet on her official Twitter account on Saturday night, described the man as a murderer hiding under the pretext of the Muslim faith. She went on to lament that there are people still encouraging such persons as him, as was the case of Deborah Samuel.
Quoting a journalist who knocked those who defended the killing of Deborah, Aisha reacted thus: “Exactly! Murderers are committing murders in the name of religion and we have supporters of murder egging them on”.
