Ekiti House of Assembly impeaches Speaker Aribisogan, elects Adelugba as successor
The Ekiti State House of Assembly has impeached Speaker Gboyega Aribisogan, and elected Olubunmi Adelugba, as his successor. The House also suspended former Speaker Aribisogan from participating in further legislative proceedings.
National Daily gathered that 17 of the 25 lawmakers impeached the speaker and elected the new speaker.
The House of Assembly has been sealed by security operatives since outburst of controversy after the death of former Speaker Funminiyi Afuye.
