Reuben Abati reacts as Tinubu suffers another gaffe
Amid the ongoing public uproar that has greeted the video showing the moment All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu gaffed while attempting to recite both Muslim and Christian prayers at a campaign rally in Kaduna recently, veteran political analyst and broadcaster, Dr. Reuben Abati has come out to share his thoughts on the development.
Recall that a few days ago, Tinubu and other APC bigwigs were in Kaduna for the flag-off of the ruling party’s presidential, gubernatorial, and senatorial campaigns in the northwest region of the country. The footage, which has since gone viral across social media platforms, shows the moment the former Lagos governor struggled to pray both in Arabic and English while delivering a speech in front of a mammoth crowd of party supporters.
Reacting to the video during a session of ARISE TV’s ‘The Morning Show’ on Thursday, Dr. Abati expressed surprise at the way Tinubu recited the prayers, opining that the APC candidate had somehow mixed up his words.
He said; “what does he (Tinubu) mean by saying ” in the name of Amen?” That’s a new one, isn’t it? Who Is ‘Amen’? I thought that word is used at the end of every prayer.”
