PDP wins Soba Federal Constituency in Kaduna
The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Saturday legislative election, Yahaya Richifa, has won the Soba Federal Constituency in Kaduna State, with 21, 516 votes.
Richifa was declared winner of the election, having defeated Hamza Ibrahim of the All Progressive Congress, who had 19, 432 votes, and Mohammed Aliyu of the PRP who scored 4978 votes.
The Returning Officer, Dr Laminu Shettima-Kuburi of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, announced the result at Maigana, the headquarters of the local government.
“Yahaya Suleiman Richifa, having satisfied the requirements of the law, is hereby declared winner and returned elected,’’ the returning officer said.
Richifa was Chairman of Soba Local Government.
