Nigeria Rugby Super Cup on hold until March 4th
By Esther Egbe
The Nigeria Rugby Football Federation has announced a further postponement of the Nigeria Super Cup due to logistics problems. Technical Director, Fasimoye Olatunji says,
“The postponement became necessary as all logistics cannot be met at this time considering the choice of location to host the event. We really wanted to have the game on Saturday 18th February in Abuja but cannot meet up with the required logistics to create the desired awareness for the event. We indulge Rugby lovers to join us at the The Old Parade Ground, Garki Area 10 (Opposite International Conference Centre) Abuja on Saturday 4th March, 2017 for the 2017 Super Cup. We apologize for any inconveniences”. The NRFF Director of Rugby went further to say that “The Super Cup is always a great way to start the new season with the Northern and South-West League winners Cowrie Rugby Club and Barewa Rugby Club battling it out in a showpiece occasion in front of a big crowd. Looking around our various Leagues, We expect all clubs to have strengthened going into the new campaign with a very high expectation on the players from the Federation”.
