Rhodes-Vivour complains of delay in delivery of electoral materials in LP strongholds

The governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, on Saturday complained that sensitive and non-sensitive electoral materials were not delivered in strongholds of the Labour Party (LP), for the Saturday election in the state.
Rhodes-Vivour at his polling unit, Ward A 045 Oshifila/Abule Igbira, Anifowoshe in Ikeja, stated that “The will of the people will prevail. There has been a lot of targeted voter suppression.
“We have a situation where in Alimosho, in Iba, polling units materials have not arrived. You find out that everywhere that we are strong and we show strength material at polling units have yet to arrive.”
He was of the view that the governorship and state assembly elections in Lagos is “a fight for the soul of Lagos”.
Rhodes-Vivour cautioned: “I’m not congratulating someone that has his mandate from voter suppression and intimidation. Why would I do that? I will go to court.”
Rhodes-Vivour is contesting against Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Dr. Olajide Adediran, aka Jandor, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Labour Party won the presidential election on February 25 with 582,454 votes in Lagos, defeating Bola Tinubu of the APC who had 572,606 votes. The LP is building confidence on the victory of its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in Lagos.
