Many trapped, rescue operation on as 4-storey building collapses in Abuja
Several persons have been reportedly trapped in a four-storey building that collapsed at Life Camp, Jabi, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
According to sources close to the scene, no fewer than 20 persons are feared trapped in the rubble as officials of the FCT Fire Service and the National Emergency Management Agency were making frantic efforts to rescue victims from the collapsed building.
It was gathered that the building, which was still under construction, collapsed at about 4:00pm on Monday, while the workers were working on the site.
The rescue team, including officers of FCT Fire Service, National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA and the Nigerian police are currently on ground at the scene.
