Atiku laments death of farmers in boat mishap
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has lamented that death of farmers in boat mishap in Niger State.
Atiku in a statement expressed grief over the boat mishap that left some people dead and many others injured when a boat capsized in Gbajibo in Mokwa council of Niger State.

“It is with grief that I received the news of the boat mishap involving some farmers that left scores of people dead and many others with varying degrees of injuries when the passenger boat they were traveling in capsized in Gbajibo in Mokwa council of Niger State.

“We have had too many incidents of this nature that have led to avoidable loss of lives. We can do much more by encouraging the provision of life jackets by governments in places where boat transportation is a preferred form of movement from one place to the other to minimise the loss of lives.
