Abuja Appeal Court reserves judgement on Sule’s suit in Nasarawa
The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja, on Wednesday, reserved judgment in an appeal filed by Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the March 11 elections, challenging the majority judgement of the Nasarawa State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal which nullified his victory in the election, and declared David Ombugadu, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), winner.

Counsel to Governor Sule, Wole Olanipekun SAN, was said to have filed five processes to challenge the appeal, requesting the appeal court to dismiss the judgment of the tribunal and grant the appeal of his client.

Counsel to Ombugadu and the PDP, Kanu Agabi SAN, had requested the appeal court to dismiss the appeal against the tribunal judgment, noting that the evidence of the APC and Governor Sule was merely documentary.
Agabi emphasised that in delivering judgment, the tribunal judges painstakingly gave a breakdown of how it arrived at its decision.
A three-member panel of justices, led by Justice Uchechukwu Onyemenam, reserved judgement, promising to communicates the date for judgment to the parties in the suit.
