Kano: Fire outbreak kills 8, family members
A fire outbreak that raged overnight has killed eight residents at Unguwar Tudun Wada, layin mai chemist steet, Nassarawa local government area of Kano state.
Reports said the fire started from a spark from an electric socket.
According to neighbors, the family were mostly affected and killed by the thick smoke from the fire outbreak.
The parents and five children were reported dead on the scene, while the last victim died in the hospital.

The deceased have been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
There has not been official statement on the response of the Kano fire service to the fire that started around 12:00a.m that wiped out a family.
