The Nasarawa State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal had on October 2, nullified the election of Governor Sule, declaring David Ombugadu as winner.
However, the Court of Appeal on November 23, upturned the judgement of the tribunal, and restored the victory of Governor Sule, declaring that the tribunal relied on legally inadmissible evidence to declare Ombugadu winner of the March 18 election.
