Governor Bala approves wage award for Bauchi workers
The Governor of Bauchi, Bala Mohammed has approved wage awards to civil servants in the state to support them in celebrating Eid-el-Fitr.
Given the approval, governor Bala directed the immediate payment of N10,000 to each civil servant on the state and local government payroll.
The Governor’s approval was conveyed in a statement by Mohammed Sani Umar, the Permanent Secretary, Establishments on behalf of the State Head of Civil Service on Monday.
The Head of Service also appreciated the governor for his continuous support to workers in the state and urged the beneficiaries to reciprocate the governor’s gesture by remaining dedicated to their duties.
The statement partly reads: “In his continuing efforts aimed at improving the welfare of the Civil Servants, His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON (Kauran Bauchi), the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, has directed the immediate payment of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00) to all categories of Civil Servants in both the State and Local Government Areas, as WAGE AWARD.

“The gesture will provide additional resources to Civil Servants to celebrate the Eid-el-Fitr in high spirits, in the wake of the unpalatable economic situation generally.
“The Head of Civil Service wishes to thank His Excellency, Governor Bala for his numerous supports and urged the workers to reciprocate the gesture by re-dedicating themselves to their duties with a view to improving and consolidating on the gains made so far.”
