Gunmen kill two police officers, abduct former female commissioner
Unknown Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have killed two policemen and abducted a former female commissioner, Ada Anioma Joan Onyemaechi, in a church in Asaba, Delta State.
The incident happened on Tuesday evening, July 30, 2024. The gunmen invaded The King Jesus and I Church, situated off DBS Road and opened fir3 on the two policemen providing security at the church premise, killing them instantly.
According to the Nigerian Tribune, after killing the officers, the g¥nmen abd3cted the former Commissioner, who is a prominent member of the community.
Also in a video making the rounds, a car suspected to be the former commissioner’s car was b¥rnt as some armed men were seen taking the victim away with a boat.
According to reports, the State Police Command have launched a manhunt to track down the g¥nmen.
