Emerging President Donald Trump of the United States plans to annex Canada with new tariff on imported Canadian goods. trump, thus, urged the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, to surrender Canada to the U.S. as the 51st state, while the Prime Minister will be a governor, if the new U.S. tariff will cripple Canadian economy.

Paradoxically, Trump may be deploying U.S. foreign policy of geopolitics to annex Canada using tariff as a political weapon.
Accordingly, “Donald Trump told Prime Minister Trudeau that Canada could join the US as its 51st state if new US tariffs crippled its economy, with Trudeau serving as governor.”
Trump had declared the imposition of new tariff regime on goods from China, Mexico and Canada when he assumes office in January 2025.
